Vision
"Our efforts to create a powerful platform, that provides a voice for all farmers, researchers, and educators in agriculture, will result in a more educated consumer public with regard to industry challenges, stewardship, and innovations."
Did you know that agricultural scientists are discovering new ways to grow crops in buildings with artificial light? Or how about that today's farmer produces enough food to feed 155 people, but is expected to increase that number within the next 20 years? These topics, and many more like them, are what we plan to help consumers become aware of. Too often does the industry face pushback for its innovations and advancements in an effort to feed a growing population. But, why is this? We can blame activists, policies, or find any reason to be honest. However, we have chosen to not cast blame and rather be proactive in creating transparent media to bring about a brighter future. Agriculture doesn't succeed alone on the efforts of a few innovators. The industry succeeds when the innovators and opinion leaders are supported by the very people they seek to help. Our vision statement is what we hope the future will bring for the consumer public. It's a team effort, and here at AgriCapture we are a part of the team that wants to make this vision a reality.
Mission
"We will deliver high-quality, narrative driven products that shed a light on the stories of agriculturalists that will help consumers understand why they do what they do, and how they do it."
Our team truly believes in the vision of AgriCapture. However, we know that the vision is something that is ever-evolving as consumers are constantly looking for trustworthy information. This is why our mission statement explains how our team plans to make our vision a reality. Through narrative-driven media, that is videos and articles created based on the words and stories of the subject rather than just bias of the creator, we will produce shareable products in which consumers can trust. Think of it as a technological version of Farm-to-Table for online stories and information rather than food; you can call it Farm-to-Server.
